Welcome to my website! Since leaving the world of private banking and wealth management in Zurich, Switzerland, I have operated as an independent trader in the global For-ex and Commodities Markets. With additional experience within Capital Markets and the emerging Digital Currency Sector.
The story since going independent has been an exciting and unique one: I founded Aptius Ltd (reg number: 11424378) in 2018, Weston-super-Mare’s first and only specialised Forex and Digital Currency trading company, which has seen significant growth since its inception, with a large and ever growing commercial trade pool, with a 500K turnover after its 4th year of operation. Pioneering our own customised algorithmic trading software along with securing a number of high profile trading accounts worldwide, has meant access to a host of global markets, from the conventional London, and New York stock exchanges, to Singapore, Malaysia and emerging markets across Asia and East Africa. The growth of Aptius Ltd has been a launchpad for the creation of a small group of companies: Ashworth Holdings, with the aim of increasing overall diversification into new markets as part of my vision for 2030.
The ultimate mission of Ashworth Holdings is to see a multi-sector approach towards long term investment: since 2021 we have strongly developed our presence in the Automotive import/export sector, and now have a small but established foothold importing cars and other vehicles from the UK to Cyprus as part of a project jointly managed with the logistics firm United Drive. Mostly specialising in the import of Toyota models, from 4x4s to saloon cars and other in demand Japanese vehicles. This new commercial project is another example of the aim of ultimate diversification: funded by Aptius ltd’s growth, there is now an established presence in a new market, supported by the contacts gained via the Aptius commercial network and the expansive wealth of knowledge they bring in the automotive sector. Furthermore, the international export program had widened its capacity further: with a specialised refurbishment service for classic cars, from Europe and the UK, exported for refurbishment in Europe, or sourced directly within the EU for export to the United Kingdom or United States. As a self-described ‘Petrol-Head’ with a love for vintage cars, I can say with pride that we now have a focus on Mercedes models from the mid 1960s to mid 1970s as well as a vintage Jaguar models, from the 60s through to the early 90s. With the successful move into car import/exports and the lucrative and interesting classic car sector, the aim is to expand our Cyprus operations further, by establishing a full blown car dealership on the island, and a plan to begin imports to Malta to establish a second market in another European state that also drives on the left!
Aptius is Weston-super-Mare's first and only Forex & Cryptocurrency trading company. We operate in a variety of international markets, from conventional forex to crypto-fiat pairing as well as pioneering the development of our own unique algorithmic trading software. Founded in 2018, by local businessmen Daniel M. Ashworth and Jonathan Peters, Aptius takes an approach often associated with the interconnected world of urban high-finance, and yet operates in a rural Somerset setting. Retaining a global outlook, in the ever-changing forex, crypto, and crypto-fiat markets, our unique approach has seen us develop our holdings considerably in recent years.
